From the highs of three #1 hits, a SESAC Songwriter Award, and four Dove Award nominations—including Best New Artist—to sold-out shows from London to New York, Austin to Seattle—and the lows of shattering his leg mid-show and rebuilding after a lost record deal—Jesse Butterworth has learned to embrace the whole story and find the specks of gold in just about anything.

The BBC called his recent project “brilliant,” and that spirit runs through everything he makes. Jesse writes songs as postcards from the bright side—honest, hopeful dispatches that don’t deny the hard parts, but refuse to let them have the final word.

A genre-defying artist with an insatiable curiosity for sound, Jesse’s career spans fronting the critically acclaimed The West Coast Feed—praised as “the new Seattle sound” (No Depression) and “a force of nature” (American Songwriter)—to an ambitious and prolific solo career blending pop, soul, and orchestral storytelling. He has shared the stage with Lord Huron, Switchfoot, and Chris Robinson & the Brotherhood, recorded at Abbey Road Studios, and seen his creative work featured in USA Today, People Magazine, and the BBC.

With over a million streams and a growing national and international audience, Jesse continues to push creatively. Symphonic, recorded with the prestigious Czech Symphony Orchestra, expands his sound into a bold live and recording experience designed for theaters, performing arts centers, and special events. That same commitment to craft and emotional clarity carries into the classroom as well—Jesse is an adjunct professor teaching songwriting at the university level, helping emerging writers find flow, truth, and confidence in their own voices.

Jesse lives in Seattle with his wife Marisa, their three kids—Liam, Finn, and Harper—and their dog, Maple Syrup.
