- First day of the year that I’m wearing my rainbow flip flops. I celebrate this day. #
- Comping vocals for the kids project. So close to the end, I can smell it. Or actually, that might be my flip flops that I smell. #
- Looks like I’m pulling an all nighter in the studio tonight. It’ll be worth it, though. This album is gonna rawk! #
- Finally heading home. Didn’t have to stay quite as long as I thought, but have half a day’s worth of work tomorrow before we go to mix. #
- The Overlake Kids album is officially in the mail to be mixed in Nashville! Can’t wait to hear it mixed, mastered and glorious! #

- Just when I thought I was done in the studio, it sucks me back in! Logic and Pro Tools, why must you disagree on these synth tracks? #
- Just mowed the lawn for the first time since October. I found a bunch of stuff I thought I’d lost: some toys, a baseball & my virginity. #
- Listening to some of the first mixes off of the new Overlake Kids album, and all I can say is that we’re bringing butt rock back, baby!!!! #

- Taking the day off and my body is reminding me of how hard I’ve been working for the last six weeks. Feels good to do absolutely nothing. #
- Hoping Derek will bring his keytar back from NY so we can start rockin it @Overlake! Perhaps we can work Van Halen’s “Jump” in to a set? #
- Just watched my 1 1/2 yr old unlock my iPhone and open his favorite app. Pretty crazy! It’s also super cute when he smokes his cigar, too. #
- Howerton is drinking from a mug that says “Edward ruined it for mortal men.” #
