1267.7 Miles Later…

May 2nd, 2007 by Jesse

MileageSome very good friends of mine are serving in a very obscure part of India. While they are there teaching and building, they gave me free reign of their pick up truck. The only catch… I had to drive it to Seattle from Orange County, Ca.

So, that’s what I did last weekend. I drove 1267.7 miles from So Cal to beautiful Seattle all by my lonesome.

What does a man do with all that time?

Well, I caught up on my “reading”. I listened to some very find audiobooks. And I’d like to recommend them to you.

Rob Bell is a great thinker and an even better communicator. He’s taking some pretty heady stuff and unpacking in a way that everyday Joe’s like me can chew on.

Highly recommended!

The Message2) The Message Remix - Audio Book

A great way to revisit the New Testament in a modern paraphrase.

It’s easy to understand and a fresh take on the word.

John Hodgman is one of the funniest writers I’ve “read” in a while. An acerbic, dry and ridiculously funny book about absolutely nothing. Very entertaining.

If you’re one of those people that like the BBC version of “The Office”, then you’ll LOVE this book!
