Jesse is sadly not the heir to a syrup empire, but he is the Lead Pastor at Rain City Church in Bellevue, Wa.  He and his wife, Marisa, started Rain City in 2011 with the hope of creating a place where spiritual orphans, misfits and burnouts could feel at home.  When he's not speaking and leading at Rain City, Jesse also has a passion for music. Some of the bright spots of his career include the time that Katy Perry once opened for him before she was big, songs he has written are being sung in churches across the world, and he did have a couple of songs go to number one on the Billboard charts.  Some of the low points include being an official four time loser at the Dove Awards and also the time he broke his leg in the middle of a sold out show when attempting a toe touch by jumping off of the drum risers.  Apparently being the 7th grade sit and reach champion didn't end up paying off later on in life.  

Jesse’s creative work has been featured in People, CCM, NBC News, Focus on the Family, USA Today, FamilyLife Today, Christianity Today and The Today Show (apparently anything with “Today” in the name).

Jesse is a graduate of Azusa Pacific University and originally hails from California which is why he still roots for his beloved Dodgers, but he’s fully embraced his Northwest roots by becoming an all out Seattle Seahawks 12th man.  

Jesse lives in Kirkland, WA with his wife, Marisa and their three kids, Liam, Finn and Harper.
